What Should I Do I Really Need Legal Advice?
Ok,
I got a subpoena saying my landlord had not payed his mortgage and I have 30 days to move out or respond to the subpoena. I have been renting from him for four months and have payed my rent every month on time($725). Now the bank is saying i have to move out. I talked to the landlord and he said everything is ok he is working everything out with the bank.
My question is if i move out can i sue him for my deposits and moving cost? What would you do?

definitely take him to court and keep all the papers you have with the bank i would not only sue him for deposits and moving costs i would also try for punitive damages you could at least try anyway
good question, i just read about that happening to renters, and they had to move for the same exact reason, i would keep talking to your landlord to find out what’s going on. And if you do have to move call the courts to see what you can do but if the landlord has no money you probably won’t get it right away.
I would stay as long as possible. Foreclosure takes a long time and eviction of the landlord takes even longer. I’d try finding a different apartment if you are truly uncertain of the future.
Tell me what you're thinking...
